Description

- This project is organized through CYAC (Chief's Youth Advisory Committee) and TPS (Toronto Police Services).
- Project PEACE is a youth group created by youths for youths. About 95 % of them used to be either Gang members or At-Risk Youths in the city of Toronto. Most of what they talk about is from their own first hand knowledge and experience being in the gangs or being At-Risk youths. Usually, there is a Police Officer attached to the group.
- The presentation is targeted to Grades 9 and 10 students (about 30 students max). We would like to invite any At-Risk students to the presentation. The students should be able to prepare questions before hand that they would like to ask. The questions could be related to guns, gangs, police procedures or any youth-related issues.
- The presentation is usually anywhere between 1 hr to 1 hr and a half.
- They will be showing a video during the presentation.
- ESP will look into providing the students and the presenters with a FREE Pizza lunch
