Event: Love

L.O.V.E. Campaign (Leave Out Violence Everywhere) Feb. 16^th to Feb. 19^th, 2010.

February is the month of love and ESP decided to run a “Love Campaign”. The focus was to encourage peace within our community and to spread the “love” within our Madonna community.

The week will include the following:

·   Announcements about spreading peace and leaving violence out of our life and our school community will be done every morning by a different ESP member.

·   Bake Sale to raise money that can be donated to a shelter or a community program. The bake sale will be held after school.

·   ESP members will create a banner whereby every student within the school will write a message of peace and anti-violence on a set of lips. Lips were the symbol because the ESP members felt that violence begins with words and that verbal abuse was a huge issue at our school. The banner will be hung in the cafeteria.

·   ESP members created buttons with the L.O.V.E. logo which all 32 ESP members and staff advisors will wear throughout the week.

·   Poster Challenge will be held during the week. All homerooms will have a week to create an anti-violence poster. The top 3 homerooms will win a prize. All the posters will be hung around the school.
