Event: Haiti Relief Campaign

Starting from Feb. 8 through Feb. 26, Leacock's ESP Committe raised funds for earthquake victims of Haiti. By sending individual envelopes to each homeform, students were given an opportunity to donate as much as they could to this relief efforts. Weekly samosa and pizza sales also raised additional awareness and funds. As a 'winning prize' and incentive, the homeform raising the most funds was awarded a pizza party - complementary of ESP. All of the donated money was then given to the Canadian Red Cross. The purpose of this event was to help every student to realise his/her potential to help others. And in this realisation lies the empowerment of every student to rise above their circumstances to help others and fulfill their potential as world leaders.
